The Guzzler is part of the AquaTRU series of entrance mats that offer more accurate size options for better value. Intended for use in medium to heavy traffic areas, the Guzzler's raised, crushproof waffle design aggressively scrapes and cleans, while the rubber-edged perimeter entraps dirt and moisture for superior water and soil control. Molded rubber cleats on the underside of the mat grip the underlying surface, minimizing mat movement.

In terms of performance, the Guzzler has been extensively tested. First, the Abrasion Resistance test (ASTM D3884-01) subjects the test specimen to the rubbing action of two abrading wheels under controlled conditions. The Guzzler exhibited a weight loss of 0.99 grams, which translates to 3.1 percent. Second, the Accelerated Wear test subjects the specimen to the action of rollers under a specified load, with the sample rotated 10 degrees after each pass. The Guzzler showed a thickness loss of 14.48 percent. Third, the Accelerated Soiling test (ASTM D6540-00) exposes the specimen to an accelerated soiling process for a predetermined length of time. After vacuuming and extraction, the Guzzler received a Vacuum Rating of 3.5 and a Rating After Extraction of 4.0 (based on visual inspection).

The Water Retention test measures the weight gain of the specimen after being submerged in water for 5 minutes and drained for 15 seconds. The Guzzler recorded a weight gain of 0.427 gallons per square yard. Lastly, the Flammability test (ASTM D2859, CPSC FF 1-70) is designed to measure the mat's response to an ignition source in a controlled environment. The uncharred area of the Guzzler test specimen was greater than 1 inch, allowing it to pass the Federal Flammability Standard DOC FF 1-70.

The Guzzler features a face weight of 26 oz. per sq. yd. and a non-directional pattern design that is well-suited for entranceways, lobbies, and other indoor medium to high traffic areas. Its raised waffle pattern facilitates the scraping process, while the channel design retains moisture and debris. The raised rubber border on all four sides acts as a containment barrier, trapping moisture and debris. The densely tufted yarn provides increased moisture retention and easier cleaning, with a 1/4-inch pile height.

The Guzzler is a recommended and approved product as part of the GreenTRAX program for green cleaning environments, when used as part of the Stages system. Overall, the Guzzler's combination of performance, design, and environmental considerations make it a compelling choice for medium to heavy traffic entrance mat applications.
